John Wooden: A Seven Point Creed
When John Wooden (former basketball coach of UCLA) graduated from grammar school his father gave him a Seven Point Creed to live by. Wooden stuck with it all his life; he said it served him well.
Here’s the Creed:
• Be true to yourself.
• Make each day your masterpiece.
• Help others.
• Drink deeply from good books, especially the Bible.
• Make friendship a fine art.
• Build a shelter against a rainy day.
• Pray for guidance and give thanks for your blessings every day.
